Zachary concentrated his legal education on criminal law, gaining practical experience through externships with a local public defender's office, the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Nevada, and several criminal defense firms. He also served in his law school's Criminal Defense Appellate Clinic, where the appellate brief he authored on behalf of an indigent client earned the law school's Award for Excellence.
Following law school, Zachary relocated to Tampa, Florida, where he began his legal career with the Hillsborough County Public Defender's Office before joining a highly regarded criminal defense firm in the Tampa Bay area. During this time, he represented individuals charged with a broad range of offenses, including DUI, battery, drug and weapons offenses, sex crimes, and homicide.
Zachary returned to Las Vegas in 2020 and served as a judicial law clerk in the Clark County District Court, where he managed a split criminal and civil docket and gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making, trial court procedure, and complex litigation.
Following his clerkship, Zachary joined a prominent firm in Las Vegas, where he focused exclusively on criminal defense and represented clients facing some of Nevada's most serious criminal allegations. His practice included the representation of clients charged with offenses ranging from DUI and drug crimes to complex homicide prosecutions, including cases in which the State sought the death penalty.
In addition to his criminal defense experience, Zachary maintains a broad civil litigation practice representing individuals and businesses in contract disputes, business and commercial litigation, employment matters, and personal injury claims. Drawing on his diverse litigation background and experience both in private practice and within the judiciary, he provides clients with practical guidance and strategic advocacy through every stage of the litigation process.
